Established in July 2001 and formally launched on the 2nd
of November 2001, the United Kingdom Chapter of Nigeria -
British Chamber Of Commerce is geared towards providing timely,
exhaustive and comprehensive information to its members and
their business entities committed to operations in Nigeria
and the United Kingdom.


We're poised to be the dominant catalyst of financial growth
for our members and the entire business community of both
countries. We are positioned to be the gateway to reliable
Business partnerships in United Kingdom and Nigeria.


Fuelling the Nigeria economy with tangible benefit for our
British and Nigerian members is our main goal.


AIMS



  • To provide a forum to represent Nigeria and British interests,
    whereby the development of commerce and Industry between
    the two countries can be encouraged and protected

  • To strive for increased trade between the United Kingdom
    and the Federal Republic of Nigeria through a regular exchange
    of information on trade and investment opportunities amongst
    members

  • To advise the Governments of the Federal Republic of
    Nigeria and the United Kingdom on matters pertaining to
    trade relations between the two countries

  • To advise the members of the chamber on opportunities
    and problems, legislative or otherwise, arising from the
    pursuit of trade between the United Kingdom and Nigeria

  • To organise conferences, seminars and meetings on subjects
    of current importance to the commercial community and to
    arrange regular gatherings of specialist groups with the
    aim of encouraging members to meet and discuss problems
    of mutual concern

  • To maintain a close liaison with all-relevant Government
    authorities, departments and representative bodies with
    the aim of protecting and or representing members interests
    on matters of current importance

  • To organise trade Missions and to provide a travel service
    for members

  • To provide an information and market intelligence service
    on United Kingdom/Nigerian trade in the form of a regular
    trade Bulletin

  • To print, publish and circulate any journals, periodicals,
    leaflets or any other publications that the chamber may
    think desirable, providing information on the chamber; its
    members; the various activities of the chamber; investment
    opportunities; statistical and other information relating
    to business generally and any other matters considered to
    be of current importance

  • To promote support or legislative or other measures affecting
    the aforesaid aims and objectives;

  • To do all such other things as are incidental or conducive
    to the attainment of the above stated objectives or any
    of them.
